Federico Mazzarisi (1994) is a film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his emotionally resonant visual storytelling and finely crafted cinematic style.
Born with a deep passion for exploring life’s complexities through images, Federico began his artistic journey with a degree in Film Design from IED Milan. He later honed his craft at the prestigious National Film and Television School (NFTS) in London, where he emerged as a distinctive creative voice and quickly established himself in the commercial and music video landscape.
Federico’s work has captured the attention of international audiences and juries alike, earning recognition at major festivals and awards including Cannes Lions, British Arrows, Berlin Commercial, Ciclope, and Young Guns.
In 2020, he made his narrative debut with Learning from the Wind, produced during the COVID-19 pandemic by Ascent Film and Great Guns. The short earned the Silver Lion Young Director Award at Cannes, cementing his reputation as a filmmaker to watch. His second short film, Wreckage (2022), produced by Groenlandia Film, won Best Short Film — with Rai Cinema acquisition — at the Figari Film Festival and garnered him the Best Director Award from AIR3, the Italian Directors Association. The film is currently available on Amazon Prime Video.
Since 2021, Federico has collaborated with production companies such as Groenlandia Film, directing and producing campaigns for major clients and international partners across Europe, US, Asia, and the Middle East.
He is currently in production on his next short film, The Guardian, supported by the Fondazione Apulia Film Commission, while simultaneously developing his feature film debut.
In 2022, Federico co-founded DOGMA, a company specializing in AI-driven cybernetic technologies for filmmaking, which is now producing scripted content for major broadcasters.
